<OT> t2K - whew! Reshorted at 100 3/8, covered at 100 1/8, reshorted at 101 5/16, covered at 99 13/16. Anyway, MSFT didn't do too badly, considering it closed above 78, off from the day's low. Looks like a hit on high p/e companies, but even that theory doesn't make sense - why is CSCO up... I can't find any company specific news (actually one slightly negative - a key guy jumping from CSCO to a hot startup competitor). I'm going to be careful now - my crystal ball has just gotten a lot more cloudy<g>. Hope you did OK today - in the end I managed to make a little today, but I must say, I was thrown about quite a bit - v. unpleasant, I hate to feel like I have little control over my trades (this is especially true of NYSE issues, because you are pretty much flying blind, compared to Naz stocks).
