NCTA ANNOUNCES FIRST-EVER 'WEBCAST,' LIVE VIA THE INTERNET, OF CABLE '99 SESSIONS, DIRECTLY FROM THE CONVENTION CENTER

WASHINGTON, DC - Cable '99, NCTA's 48th Annual Convention and International Exposition, will feature a first-ever live "webcast" of the four daily General Sessions on www.cable99.com, the Cable '99 web site, direct from the McCormick Place Convention Center. Cable '99, NCTA's 48th Annual Convention and International Exposition, will take place June 13-16, 1999 in Chicago, Illinois.

"This first-ever webcast is a truly exciting addition to this year's convention, and we're pleased to be including streaming video to the technology and services on display at the show," said Marc Nathanson, Chairman and CEO of Falcon Cable TV, and Cable '99 Convention Committee Chairman. "For those who would like to view Cable '99 sessions live but are unable to attend, the webcast will be a great opportunity to watch from anywhere."

INTERVU, a leading provider of Internet video delivery solutions, was selected to provide the video and audio content management delivery services.
