Bearshark, the general populace is in for a rude awakening if the bond continues on it's path. note that the september bond futures contract has sliced through the 116 strike where 71,200 contracts in put open interest should have provided support. the next strike with significant support in the form of open put contracts is 114, where 89,900 contracts reside. whenever such support levels are broken, the break is more significant than it would be otherwise. btw, i'm just hearing an interview with a brown brothers harriman analyst, who normally serves as a good contrary indicator - he calls for the correction to continue. this time he may be right for all i know.

regards,
