sorry if this is a repost, I haven't seen this news release before, though.
it follows nicely after watching the hearings yesterday, in which the fda the nci and congress were thoroughly lambasted by burton and others on the possibility of these orgs kowtowing to the medical institutions instead of searching for better treatments for cancer. their arguement was supported by british and other european alternative cancer treatments have been in use in europe for up to 20 years in some instances, yet the studies are totally ignored in this country. while nafta and the general agreement to talk and talk were pushed through, whereby we now import a large percentage of our meat from all over the world, we in effect trust them to grow our cows in a trustworthy manner, but we don't trust their medical testing procedures. que? the worst case was mistletoe, but also hypothermia treatment for prostate cancer and thermography were discussed as examples of how the europeans are using alternative treatments that have been scientificaly studied and shown to have medical benefit. i think this is a perfect backdrop for acceptance of the ctlm in europe.
