Investor-ex!. Thanks very much for your informative reply.
See if I'm starting to get some understanding. So the thrid world countries can't pay the 370 billion debt and the lenders know this
also the lenders know that as long as this debt is still on the books
new lending is not possible and its lending that makes the world go round.
So forgive the debts ( taxpayers will come good for losses ) the bankers who created this mess in the first place will look like the good guys and they can start the whole process over again because as you have said there is no practical limit on the amount of money they can create. I guess what I still can not grasp is why the dollar would not have a drastic drop in value when it seems so obvious that debt can created and forgiven out of nothing.
