My opinion is that Jeff B. has always been better at "thinking big" than Meg at Ebay. A few years ago Amazon was down here making great deals to engineering people to build the amzn infrastructure. I mean really good option packages, such that the best guys couldn't turn it down even though it meant a move to Seattle and working for a bookseller (which at the time seemed like a career foiler). Even then Bezos was extending himself and it shows in the Amazon site (and the amzn balance sheet). Ebay didn't do that, their success surprised them. This will be interesting to watch. I'm actually betting on Bezos right now.

The eBay auction sellers are extremely frustrated

seems like e-commerce become important part of every day business.
