In MY case, I am wearing jeans some of the time and I would never want that to be seen! ;-)

I guess it is just aesthetically pleasing to have reporter stay there and not bolt away the second the piece is done. Also they might walk into the shot, block a camera that is about to dissolve to another shot, etc, etc. Lots of reasons... but we try to avoid it.

I used to be told not to toss my script into the trash on camera on those 'bump" shots. I could never understand why not..if I had already aired it, it was now trash, but some managers don't like the look.

After all is said and done about coupon passes and money supply and P/E's and broken trend lines, it's still show biz to a large extent.
