Todd, I don't remember flippers posting BNBN allocations...

Then again, I was on vacation during that time and spent a lot less time checking the threads since it was a long distance call back to my ISP.

Remember back to just how big we all thought BNBN was gonna be, and then imagine me trying to figure out how to check for and hopefully be able to respond to that all-important confirmation mail. I was a wreck. I had my notebook hooked up to a cell phone, trying to check my e-mail from the Disneyland parking lot. Unfortunately, the cells just weren't strong enough to handle data and I never could get connected. I then had to fight my way through L.A. rush hour traffic from Anaheim back to the hotel in Beverly Hills, which was one of the more frustrating 1+ hours I can remember. I ran up to the room, jacked into the phone, got hooked up, and heard the speakers say "YOU HAVE NEW MAIL!" The confirmation e-mail was indeed one of them, having arrived in my mailbox 35 minutes earlier. I responded quickly, then checked the boards and saw that some people were still getting the e-mails, which made me breathe a bit easier. I finally fell asleep, but woke up about 3 AM to see that the allocation e-mail had arrived. Boy, that was exciting. Geez, something went wrong... <G>
