The auction count growth is my biggest concern for this quarter and for the coming months.

I think a lot of investors will be disappointed when they see sequential revenue growth come in around 30 percent, compared to 70 percent for last quarter.

The refund will cost eBay between $3M and $4M, most of that falling to the bottom line, translating to 2 to 3 cents per share. (But hey, they'll probably attribute it to a one-time event.)

I believe part of this quarter's problem has been system performance, and I look forward to eBay fixing these problems. If not, there are plenty of pretenders to the throne looking for these kinds of breaks...
