OT - I suspected 'facetiousness' but no smiley's, so I played it straight. Actually, the feature WAS very new at the time of my purchase. But your point is moot, I didn't buy based on an ad - I bought it after research, and didn't know that the 'commercial skip' feature existed on any VCR until I bought it and read the manual. Of course I see commercials, I just try to minimize them. I enjoy some, the tow truck driver who owns an island (CNBC) etc. I'm amazed that some VCR's still don't have this feature.
