Marc, thank you for that late breaking news <g>.

OK, here's the deal. Bill gates got rich on realising the VALUE of intellectual property. When all the computing neophytes were saying how cool it would be for all source code to be open Gates was preaching the validity of intellectul property. Result is: Gates is richest person on Earth; Jobs is some other guy who was involved in bringing the PC to the masses.

If you own shares in a company you believe in their IP rights, otherwise you say, how can you patent common knowledge.

Share price drop may reflect the cost of all this litigation but ultimately it is cost effective to assert your patents than to let them go unchallenged.

Hell, if 3dfx win all their current cases they may not need to sell another V3 to turn a profit this year.

I expected the lawsuit, but CREAF isnt paying their bills eh? DIMD and CREAF sure stuck it to TDFX in the short term anyhow..
