Good news...Blake's back and he's joining the Project next weekend!!

BTurner: New thread?
Tiric: :-)
Tiric: SI: Attitude Alphabet Project
BTurner: cool....hld on....let me look
Tiric: Scan results for Friday's close are posted on the 56 thread. The work on the hits is submitted to the Project thread. It's excellent so far.
BTurner: oh man.....now that is cooooooollllll.....I gotta get involved with that
Tiric: The key is to buy on a move over Friday's close that has good volume. It's a no loss strategy if you catch things right.
Tiric: I have the letter S just waiting for you.
BTurner: I was getting into some freaky stuff on the comkey before my break, using TF+ to do the testing....Throw a requirement of the stock is making a 8 day high in the mix with the comkey and watch the results
BTurner: S? Sears?
Tiric: Ahhhh...that sounds very good. Can you run it for Friday's close and post it?
Tiric: No...all the scan hits that start with S
Tiric: It takes a couple hours each weekend.
BTurner: I gotta go get the death scan from my laptop at work....I was working on the comkey stuff when I was in florida on business
Tiric: I have A, C, M, R, XYZ
BTurner: cool.....count me in.....sounds like a good way to break it down to cover a lot of ground
BTurner: It would be really cool if i could get B,L,T....>gg<
Tiric: Bdog has B and won't be able to do them this weekend.
L is covered but T is open.
I think you're stuck with S
Tiric: Milesov has EFGH
BTurner: LOL....ok...when do you want me to start?
Tiric: If you take S, we'll have 22 letters covered
BTurner: cool....I will take S
BTurner: do the scans get posted on the new room?
Tiric: Let me give you some links on the analysis methodology and explain the risk/reward requirements.
BTurner: k
Tiric: The scans are posted on the 56 thread
BTurner: k
Tiric: SI: The 56 Point TA; Charts With a (#30235/30...
BTurner: cool....let me get up to speed and I will be ready to go
Tiric: SI: Attitude Alphabet Project (#6/122)
BTurner: I'm gonna have to break out the book to get all the 56 requirements
BTurner: I will go back later on today and read all of the posts from the new thread to get up to speed...Count me in for the S letter for next week. I will have all my other junk done and will be ready to rumble....I will look at the S stuff that was posted on the scans with the BLT eye and post the stuff that looks interesting, just don't know if I will have the time to do the full 56 on all of them.
Tiric: Do you have the SMI multiplex and the SMI scatter?
I find those to be huge timesavers.
BTurner: I think I have the multiplex....but I do not have the scatter
BTurner: you got the links?
Tiric: I posted the scatter recently...I'll get it.
Tiric: For risk/reward, look for targets that have upside that is 10 times greater than the downward distance to a supporting trendline.
If support is 1/2 point below the price then you would want upside potential to be 5 points or more. You won't always find a 1 to 10 ratio but that's a good guideline. 1 to 8 or 1 to 6 works well too.
BTurner: SVE has got some heavy resistance it's about to run into at 20.00
Tiric: Ok...from there you would check to assess whether SVE has the technical strength to break through resistance and if it does...find the upside target from there.
Tiric: If it breaks out it looks like a target of around 27. I'd have to draw the lines to make sure though
BTurner: bdog liked this one....But to me it looks like it is loosing steam....
BTurner: course I am looking at it with the mighty voodoo software
Tiric: support is about 18 1/2 so it's about a 1 to 6 risk/reward with about 28% potential. You'd have to run some TA on it...most of the 56 stuff.
BTurner: yep...I will dig deeper on it....GET is good at showing resistance points and the voodoo GANN lines
Tiric: The SMI scatter is great for judging investor "excitement" over it. As well as assessing the potential for timing.
The multiplex is used to verify timing and the extent of room it has to go up.
BTurner: cool...I gotta get those two loaded into metastock
Tiric: Then you look for RSI and stochastics stuff...Bollinger Band stuff, comkey stuff...CCI trends and levels...
the usual
BTurner: yep....will ck it all out
Tiric: The way I narrow it down is to throw out anything with a chart that doesn't look positive at first glance. Then, from that group I toss any one that doesn't have good SMI stuff first.
Tiric: SVE has a positive look to it.
I'll get you the scatter now...hold on
BTurner: I have a multi-time frame template set up in MS that combines a lot of the 56 stuff...It is great for weeding out candidates.....
Tiric: cool!
SI: The 56 Point TA; Charts With a (#30148/30...
BTurner: let me get it...hld on
Tiric: If you haven't looked at the scatter yet...you'll love it at first sight
Tiric: 6 lines in 3 pairs that work in an intertwining fashion. 3 types of buy signals
BTurner: hmmm....kinda looks like some BLT stuff...cool
Tiric: When you get each of the 3 pairs crossing up at the same time but at different values, that's a buy signal
Tiric: When 2 of the pairs are crossing up at the same value and the 3rd pair is already crossed and moving up, that's a stronger signal
BTurner: yep...I have multiple indicators that are based on combining different time frames....That's the stuff I was telling you about in florida....It does give you a great visual.....
Tiric: When all 3 pairs are crossing at the same time and at the same value...it's awesome
BTurner: yep....when you get multiple time frames "in gear" the results are awesome....
Tiric: I knew I recognized you from somewhere! >gg< I got this stuff from you in the first place...lol! Ya gotta love those roundtable sessions!
BTurner: yep...>GG<
Tiric: The time parameters on the SMI work very well together with this stuff
BTurner: Remember the weighting of different time frames to speed up the indicator
BTurner: cool..I will throw them together
BTurner: I have a multiple time frame MFI that is cool too.
Tiric: I found that weighting them causes more whipsaws. I like 'em straight
Tiric: The multiplex takes the scatter, adds them all up with equal weighting and puts a 5 day MA on it
BTurner: cool......If you divide the end of your formula by the number of items added it will put the indicator back to it's min/max scale of the original smi...

Project results....Week 5.
I've tightened up the intraweek % gain to 5% or greater to achieve
more than an entry of "na". In other words, if the intraweek gain is
not 5% or more, the % intraweek gain will be "na" (non-appreciable).
Also, since a buy signal is generated by a move over Friday's close,
"na" will also be entered for the week close on stocks with no signal
(since those stocks are non-events) unless the stock is placed in the
carryover portfolio.

symbol....... 6/11 close.......week high (%).......week close (%)

AAP 13 1/16 na na

WMS 15 1/4 16 3/8 (7.37) 16 1/4 (6.55) carryover

18 stocks...6 (33%) with intraweek double digit % gains.
12 go into the carryover portfolio.
Of the 6 that are not carryovers, MAVK, WLM and CYBX
are loss situations here. Entry would have likely led
to a necessary exit before any significant gain could
have been realized.

The carryover portfolio is behaving very well and may
become the more important aspect of the Project as time
progresses.
