Carolyn, I'm a graphic designer, and yellow is considered the most eye-catching, attention getting color, so that's probably the reason why!

(although green is my favorite color)

I only check the weather channel for snow forecasts
when I'm going skiing...so I won't be watching it until December!

The new home page is great.

I would prefer a blue and green color combo for the soothing effect, but I can appreciate the need for "eye catching."
