Ours was a sport coupe. It made a VW seem big and sturdy. It spent a lot of time broken and was the one car my dad couldn't work on. We got gouged most of the time. I drove it many times from LA to Bakersfield or Visalia over the Grapevine on I-5. Between the winds that blew there and the semi's my arms were always sore from having to lock down and keep it on the road. She was all over the place. I had more than one "breakdown on the road" adventure in it. Sure was cute, though.

I had a '63 or '65 Triumph Spitfire in college (it was red and sexy; date of birth was irrelevant). It was the best car in the world.

UPDATE on the polaris. It isn't even a seam. It's a teeny weeny hole right in the metal itself!!!
