I made my statement, because that I thought either NGIO or Future IO will take over eventually. (Or maybe a NG/Future merged IO standard.) If I2O is in both, then Wind will for sure win, even if the fight over the two standards may delay the adoption of the next generation IO standard.

I have no more knowledge of the NGIO/Future-IO war than simply reading a few articles on EETimes. From what I read, it seems that Future IO offers superior throughput. But can I draw the conclusion that Future IO will work better than NGIO on real systems? No.

Khan
