It's a little game we play with each other, is all. It isn't nice to have played it on you; but you have apologized for your rudeness, so I regret having done it, and apologize to you for mine. Of course you are welcome here! The question of whether there is a 'God,' or is not, is not, however "quite simple." I believe it would be made much simpler, though, if everyone who proclaims that there is one would stipulate 'His' characteristics as fully as do angel ann, CL, and EE. Of their described deity, I can say with complete confidence-- It is simple. 'He' doesn't exist, because 'He' can't. It is not clear whether an entity 'exists' of the ephemeral description of that offered by, for example, the darling Christopher Hodgkin or the redoubtable Edwarda or the mischievous and amusing marcos, because... it depends... on... what the meaning of 'exists' is!!! hee hee. They all have deep feelings, feelings one could describe as those of mystical exaltation, of awe, of wonder, of gratitude at the felt 'miracles' of life. So do I. They stipulate, without proof, that those feelings of theirs are a species of proof that there is a sentient being or force worthy of being 'worshipped' out there some where. I don't make that leap; but I suspect my inner life resembles theirs much more than they imagine. I do something in response to those feelings; I don't call it 'worship.' It will be interesting to me to see whether your school of what I assume is 'Christianity' more resembles that of the medical missionaries I knew when I lived in Africa or shalom or Sidney Reilly or Chris Land or ann angel. Welcome to Feelings, Dan.
