Steve - Re: "We have seen in the last 2 year Intel forced to be cost-competitive. "

You are one of the many who dumped all over Intel 2 years ago as being ready for extinction as Cyrix and AMD were on the verge of wiping out Intel with their (Cyrix and AMD's) low cost CPUs for the sub $1000 PCs - a market which Intel all but ignored.

But where is Intel today?

They have the largest volume CPU in the value segment - Celeron, AMD is losing money hand over fist and NSM/Cyrix has thrown in the towel because they were losing money even faster.

And what company has 100% of the high end x86 SERVER business?

Right !

Intel !

And AMD has ZERO - even though they maye have a fast K7 - it has as yet NO ANNOUNCED CUSTOMERS.

Not bad for being LAZY, eh ?
