OK guys - I've got your attention

Don't get carried away with TI's market speak regarding CDMA.
I'm sure you will find similar blurb for GSM too.

Producing high speed low power DSP cores is what TI is about.
These are general purpose engines, and you can find the same
cores in many wireless devices, not just CDMA ones.
BTW - I believe that QCOM uses an 'in-house' design.

Adressing microscopics post about TI's CODEC
This is a part that supports the voice compression rates for
CDMA. Again, no big deal.

TI isn't a CDMA powerhouse.

BTW you will hear about CNXT's 'CDMA PA'. This doesn't imply that CNXT are a CDMA powerhouse either. They have rejigged their
GSM PA for CDMA frequency bands.
