Doc, Yes, I think that's what I meant, or said, in not as direct a way as you did. Since short stock must be held in a margin account, and can't be "borrowed" to short, ergo, it can't be shorted until it's allowed to be bought on margin, or allowed to be moved to a margin account. You best know that I'd love to short some of these IPO turkeys way earlier that I've seemed to be able to... We get the same endpoint, however!! You can't short it now! <g> As for a regulation, I can't be exactly sure on a Saturday, but I could check the facts if we really need to later in the workweek. I will probably do so, because if we can do it earlier than 30 days, they're more profit opportunities available to us that I previously thought!! Regards, Steve
