pat, i concur. however, your list of big players leaves out the toshibas, the necs, the siemens and some other major, major players. i don't see any big producer - and there are quite a few - giving up. joe six pack-san may leave the market, but his 0.001% contribution won't be missed much. i suspect that some big boys have to leave the market. one of the only non diversified companies is mu - so they will be hit the hardest and, given their total debt position, they are in the lead, imho, to get shut down...
