dougR, theory: If the volume exceeds 2 standard deviations from a 13dema of volume and the price exceeds its 2 standard deviations, then shortly the price will turn down or level off about 80% of the time. To prove I went to the list of best performers, supplied by bruce lamers, and examined for cases. The results are that in 23 stocks I found 84 instances, and 57 were supported by the theory. 67%! In cases where there were instances back to back, I found 4 cases and 3 of the 4 backed the theory. wart
