OT but I'd appreciate a quick response. If a dividend is payable to holders of record on 6/15/99 if I buy today do i get the dividend or is it already ex-dividend? Now, if I buy the stock on 6/15/99 will I get the dividend or will the seller get the dividend ? Thanks for your help....C

Hey STEVE (AKA: MR. PALO ALTO TRADER),
Do you have a secretary taking dictation for you or are you just one hell of a typist???? Maybe you are using a voice recognition typing system? I always want to say more but am handicapped by the keyboard...

Hmmmm. I didn't think Pit Bull was all that. It WAS enjoyable for some inside stories and Marty IS willing to share with the reader, again and again, his uncanny abilities to win on seemingly every trade (he throws in a few losers to keep perspective). It's more Marty telling us all what a genius he is... luckily it's told in a pretty interesting/humorous way. So for a quick read with some moments of true hilarious anecdotes go for it, but not as a solid read with decent trading tips.

My favorite anecdote was Marty TEARING SOME WOMEN'S HEAD OFF for calling him at 2 minutes 'till market close on his private line. His explicit warning to ALL was NEVER call him in the last 15 min. of trading unless it was a monster tip or something. Anyone who broke that rule got an earful of expletives. Turns out it was friend of his wife inviting him to some kind of important gathering (she didn't' know any better). He blew her head off before she got out two words and is STILL recovering. Ahhhh, now that I can relate to.

RO

ps Also, Marty appears to be to some considerable degree, insane. On more than one occasion he ran to his bank and got all his gold coins he had been storing up (?!) in safety deposit boxes. He threw everything into bags and came home with it because he thought the entire monetary system was going to collapse the next day. He even states (today) that we just BARELY averted this disaster a number of times but only a select few knew how close we had come to meltdown. Wow.

I too enjoyed "Pit Bull" very much and have recommended it to many.

Many little tidbits to start you thinking and much laughter to be had....a hard one to put down once you start reading.

Richard, enjoyed your post along with many many others who have posted and hope you all continue to contribute. Much has been learned by many.
