Good lord (sic!), it would have been terrible if you had been offended by my question. I was quite sure what your answer would be, but felt this construct made the question one I wanted to ask anyway: <<<And I would suggest to you that there are many, many examples of persons of faith (of many different faiths) quietly living transforming lives,>>> "Faith" is not what I consider I have. At least not the blind kind. Something is with me. But if the claim is that this something is not only omniscient, omnipotent and benevolent but also indescribable-- well, I can't take seriously the claim that I should 'worship' this him/her/it/them. To me it's risible on one level and undignified on another.
