Based on my experience, I would say wit does not give you the margin as Etrade does after 25(?)days of holding the IPO shares. Etrade does this automatically but not Wit. I tried to use margin with Wit, but I couldn't.

Regarding TD Waterhouse, I didn't see Wit on the underwriter's list:

Underwriters
CS FIRST BOSTON CORP
TD SECURITIES INC
GOLDMAN SACHS & CO
SALOMON SMITH BARNEY INC
MORGAN STANLEY DEAN WITTER & CO
TD SECURITIES INC
CS FIRST BOSTON SECURITIES CANADA INC
NESBITT BURNS SECURITIES INC
SCOTIA MCLEOD INC
CIBC WOOD GUNDY SECURITIES
RBC DOMINION SECURITIES INC
MERRILL LYNCH CANADA INC
LEVESQUE BEAUBIEN GEOFRRION INC
GRIFFITHS MCBURNEY & PARTNERS (USA) CORP
FIRST MARATHON SECURITEIS LTD
HSBC JAMES CAPEL
NEWCREST CAPITAL INC
TRILON SECURITIES CORP (TRILON FINANCIAL CORP)
CS FIRST BOSTON (EUROPE) LTD
THE TORONTO-DOMINION BANK
GOLDMAN SACHS INTERNATIONAL
SALOMON BROTHERS INTERNATIONAL LTD
MORGAN STANLEY & CO INTERNATIONAL LTD

I sure hope Wit will get some, as I haven't get any IPOs lately except WITC. Should have IOIed KOOP:(
