Not offended at all. I agree. And I have not been among those who have wanted CL, aa or even EE banned from this thread or from SI.

I think some beliefs are more testable than others, of course. I don't try to get people to believe mutually contradictory propositions; and if they are able to prove to me, in one of the open forums we Americans are lucky enough to enjoy, that I have contradicted myself, I will try to think more clearly.

Specifically, I make the claim that the values I would like to promulgate, which are based on an elementary sense of right and wrong derived from The Golden Rule (to get down to basics,) and the values promulgated by those who claim to speak in behalf of a God of mutually-contradictory characteristics who is indescribable and craves adulation, differ in significant respects.

So different, that there are important ways in which I am not at all like CL or aa.

"But at heart, you and Chris and I and Edwarda and Chuzz and most (all?) others here are alike in believing that in some areas we have truths which others don't yet have..."

Otherwise we wouldn't feel the apparent need to tap our ideas out on a keyboard and cast them out into the cybervoid. We all feel that we have something important to say.

Of course, I know that I do. :&#172)
