Here's one Texan's opinion (based on 5 years of experience with them): Don't do it! US Worst is the most poorly run of the RBOC's. Their core business is primarily residential. Qwest needs commercial customers to fill their pipes. They [USW] also have a poor service organization and respond poorly to their commercial customers. If Qwest makes a move to buy USW, I'll sell my entire position without hesitation. In fact, I'd probably switch to a short position.

Of the RBOCs that I have dealings with, Southwestern Bell is the best, followed by Bell South.
