As I recall, the theory is that the heavier elements originated in supernova explosions--by "heavier" meaning most elements more massive than nitrogen. So our bodies can only function with supernova remnants, and especially those parts repaired by dentists.

Just think of the crown that's being prepared for my molar right now. Only $700 for a piece of a supernova? A bargain!

The elements making up a stock certificate are pretty lowly in comparison.
