Right now the ATHM Jan 2000 200 calls (AHUAT) are being asked at 4 1/4.
....
Because so many things have to go right, and because this would be an outright gamble and not an investment, it's prudent to risk only a small part of the portfolio (5%).

The specific gamble you mention is more than I'd be willing to tolerate. 5% into a 20:1 shot? 5% is what many people would recommend you put into a high risk venture like buying ATHM stock!

The days of "internut" stocks quadrupling in a few months is over. The one thing you can count on is that things both always repeat and never repeat. There will be a huge rally just like last time, but the enthusiasm wont be as great because they have been taught the lesson one more time.

Jan 2000 is not that far away, and 200 is *very* far away. I am thinking about buying something like Jan 2000 120 calls or Jan 2001 150 however.
