thanks for responding. the July '98 income statement that i used was from this link biz.yahoo.com

i used the market rally back in early November last year when the interest rate was first dropped by 1/4 point and the current market correction for the built-in 1/4 point increase as the basis for my analysis in conjunction with the fundamentals available to the public at each of these time periods. 3Q '98 versus 3Q '99 would not have given my analysis the market's sentiment due to interest rate fluctuation.

i believe IDT has articulated its vision to the street this week at the BTAB conference and will continue to do so at the next conference and then the roadshow for NTOP. in my opinion, the street is just sitting on the sideline awaiting the Fed's decision. meanwhile, some retail investors are getting more nervous and not wanting to hold the stock while forgetting to consider the company's current fundamentals and future aspects.

to me the company's vision is quite clear at least for the next few years, remember it is a nimble company so it may change. lol. IMO, IDT is a telecommunication company that wants to be in the forefront with other heavyweights and IP Telephony technology is the instrument that IDT will fully exploit to leverage its position with the help of bandwith and global alliances. IP telephony may just be a niche now but is a projected $60B market worldwide by year 2005.
