OK, how about the Zenger case?

There are a couple of instances where I would never vote to convict if I'm on the jury. In my state consensual sodomy is still a crime, actually a felony. While prosecutions are few and far between, there is not a chance I would put a felony conviction on someone for that. Simple drug possession, or drug distribution, ditto. Also some cases of statutory 'rape' would not find me voting for conviction. A 29 year old with a 13 year old...I'd have no problem convicting. An 18 year old with a 16 year old? But that can't be painted with the broad brush of the former examples, and would be case specific.

Juries need to have a conscience.
