Barb, I believe WH has a 30 day policy on margining IPOs. I don't know this for a fact, just based on my experience with trading IPOs in the aftermarket there. I've really messed up my buying power by buying too much, too soon sometimes, thinking I had plenty of room. I wish there was a way for WH to display the marginable status when the order is placed. Maybe tell us what % is marginable. Also, some of their internet stocks are 50% marginable, some are not marginable at all and it can change from day to day. It seems I'm always guessing.
