I think Joe and Abbey have enough ego that they will want to be the ones who call the top. If one or both do, it may well be the top since the effect of a perma-bull changing his/her tune will be a monumental event...unlike Elaine Garzarelli's call. If they start to get their clients out early, word will eventually surface. Joe has already promised to tell Ron Insada (sp?) first, on CNBC, when the time comes. I assume that means his first PUBLIC call. I'm sure his big clients will be pissed if they find out on CNBC. That's the way I used to find out about Merrill Lynch downgrades on my stocks, back when I was paying $500+ a trade for the 'privilege' of M.L. advice in the late 80's/early 90's. Makes me nauseous just thinking about that broker (like the ad says, "the only one broker was me.")
