OT--------------------- A joke Four students, Mr. Funds, Mr. Analyst, Mr. Public, and a foreign student tried to take a course titled "Chicken or Egg, which is first" taught by Professor Alan G. This was the last credit for them to graduate and it was well known that 99% people failed the class. Both Mr. Funds and Mr. Analyst paid by their parents and did not care much to stay one or more terms. Mr. Public paid by borrowed loans and had to finish. The foreign student, who barely spoke English, paid by the little research assistantship and if he failed, not only he lost the assistantship, but also he had to go back to his country. As the class began, the students asked the professor why he was so tough on students. The professor answered that he only received C- when he took this course as a student and what did you expect. He also said the greatness about his position and the course was that there was no correct answer to the question and he could give any grades to the students. The students were very sad, except the foreign student who did not understand what the professor said. The final was coming and the students took the multiple-choice test -- only one question: which one is first? the chicken or the egg... When these four students received their results, they were all surprised: everyone got F except the foreign student who got A. They asked one another which answer they had chosen: Mr. Funds marked Chicken; Mr. Analyst marked Egg; Mr. Public marked both Chicken and Egg; and the foreign student marked none, since he did not understand the question. Later the students filed a complaint about the poor grade to the Dean of the Business School. The Dean who received Ph.D. in "200% of Nothing" from the street asked the professor what F meant. The professor answered it meant failed. Then the Dean continued to ask what "failed" meant,..... When the professor left the Dean's office, he felt so angry. He said to himself that he could flunk the smartest guy in the world, but he had to explain why to the ... and he should told the Dean F meant ...... BTW, the Dean also asked the professor if those students would pass in Y2K. The professor answered that Y2K was not K2Y, meaning Kind to You.... P.S. The problem to that foreign student happens a lot. The final project in my first course I took in school was due before I realized I had to ask my professor for project title.
