Dear Barry :

WOW. I do not know where all those prayers for blessings came from, but especially from you, I'll certainly accept them ; for the prayers of a righteous man availeth much in the eyes of the Lord.

Our church is embarking on a plan that would seem grand for a city of 100,000. However we are a small town of 8,000 people. Our present church was not supposed to happen in a town this size; and now we are planning on a 400 % increase over our present size.

I was looking over the whole elders board. We have some who were the biggest h*** raisers in town. Party. Drink. Womanize. We have some who have not accomplished much in this life by worldly standards; but the Lord is using us as a standard. It has been amazing what the Lord has been able to accomplish through us. Just continue to pray for us.

I was praying the other day and I just told the Lord. Lord what ever I have in the market is yours. It may pay only one months expenses( at our church) but I'll give it to you if you need it.

It has been awesome. The other day our evangelism team led a man to the Lord. Three of us visited him. While he was accepting the Lord I was a million miles away. The Lord used me anyway. I really gave it a poor effort but the man was crying, happy; I thought why am I so down !! So it's all God . Always has been. Always will be.

Ditto for your family and all the blessings you prayed for us. It comes back to you anyway; whether I ditto it or not ; but maybe I can expedite it. Especially the part about you paying off the house, and getting out of debt. In Christ.gregor

Dear Barry :
I hope God is blessing all the time, all the time, God is blessing.

I kind of made a poor short term call on my timing to go 100% cash; i.e. interest rate swing and a short term bond market rally; but that's life. What the Lord has done since Oct has been nothing short of 'phenon'..wow !! I'm still breathless. I still look for interest rates to test highs and possibly make new ones.

I came across this ...it's "spooky".

According to Alan Newman, editor of Crosscurrents, NYSE margin debt has exploded to a new record high of $181.94 billion (as of April). "Margin debt is now more than 2% of total gross domestic product," writes Newman. "Adjusted for inflation, the numbers are nearly three times as high as they were at the top in 1987." As Newman correctly asserts, "the indexes can only be held up by a further expansion in borrowed money. Unfortunately, a further expansion in margin debt will only increase overall systemic risk to intolerable levels." True enough, but it is highly doubtful at this point that margin debt can be any further expanded.
