WS: There is additional information on the pipeline products and the research program in the Annual Report, which is also available on the website. I think your comments might be indicative that Biogen might be able to be a little more aggressive in their public information activities. The company somewhat downplays concentrated PR efforts and leans toward recognition through professional reputation and financial results, apparently based on the philosophy that if full concentration is placed on managing the company and its programs and products, the stock price will follow. JMHO. Steve

Biogen has one drug on the market with good earnings growth potential. Whether you think the valuation of Biogen as of now is another question. What is without a doubt is that Biogen is now funding its own research and development with operating cash flow instead of shareholder capital infusion. That makes a big difference in any decision to invest long-term. Why was Biogen's pipeline poor? Simple, Biogen as a previously small biotech "bet the farm" to bring the MS drug to market. Now they succeeded, naturally they can afford to turn attention to other drugs. Investing in biotech is like watching grass grow most of the time. A lot of times the grass just wither and die under the blazing sun, but occasionally the grass can sprout into something monstruously wonderful.
