I asked because I was trying to say the same thing as Raymond did in his latest post.

The FTTC initiative sounds a little like a red herring, perhaps even bait and switch. The FTTH is not going to be done any time soon, since they have to charge $79.95/mo and sign up half their 33.6 subscribers to pay for it. You know my sentiment is on the side of anyone who even suggests a Pure plan, so I must applaud BLS' virtual smoke screen of VDSL 100mbps ATM + QoS FTTH. If the RBOCs would get price competitive with their DSL offerings it may be the way to achieve a separate but equal competitive market and would suggest Portland has no argument much less any case.
