I-Jam's New MP3 Internet Music Player Will Use
SanDisk MultiMediaCards to Download and Store
Music

--SanDisk Will Supply I-Jam With High Capacity 32 Megabyte Cards For Music Recording And
Storage--

LA JOLLA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 14, 1999-- SanDisk Corporation (Nasdaq:SNDK - news) announced today
that the new I-Jam(TM) portable MP3 player, introduced today by I-Jam Multimedia Corporation, will use flash memory
MultiMediaCards supplied by SanDisk for downloading, storing and playing music from the Internet.

The announcement was made at the MP3 Summit '99 trade show in La Jolla, CA, where SanDisk and I-Jam are showing their
products. (SanDisk booth 2; I-Jam booth 5).

Nelson Chan, SanDisk's vice president of marketing, said, ''I-Jam's selection of SanDisk MultiMediaCards as the storage
media for its new MP3 player gives the MultiMediaCard added momentum in the rapidly growing MP3 player market. This is
the sixth new MP3 player announced in recent months that will use MultiMediaCards to capture, store and play Internet
music.''

Chan added that, ''The I-Jam design is extremely compact and takes full advantage of the tiny size of SanDisk's
MultiMediaCard. I-Jam and SanDisk are showing the way to extreme miniaturization of future high quality digital music
players.''

I-Jam president Doug Marrison said, ''The MultiMediaCard is fast becoming the industry standard for storage used in MP3
players. SanDisk's MultiMediaCards are ideal for the I-Jam player because they are small-sized, reliable, reusable and can
store up to 32 megabytes (MB), or about an hour of CD-quality music. The MultiMediaCard also contains technology
compatible with proposals submitted to the Secure Digital Music Initiative consortium. The proposals are intended to protect
artists and others from piracy of copyrighted material.''

The MultiMediaCard, which SanDisk co-invented, is the world's smallest removable flash data storage card. The card -- the
size of a postage stamp -- is also being designed into numerous other products including camcorders, smart phones and
handheld computers. More than 50 companies belong to the MultiMediaCard Association, an organization formed in 1998 to
promote the MultiMediaCard as an industry storage standard.

Chan said, ''Market research firms forecast that more than one million Internet music players will be sold next year followed by
sales of about eight million units in 2001. The MultiMediaCard is an excellent storage solution for these ultra-small music
players.''

Only three inches by two inches in size, the I-Jam device is the smallest portable MP3 player on the market. The I-Jam, which
can also play back music downloaded from compact discs, has a built-in FM radio and operates on two ''AAA'' batteries for
up to 12 hours of continuous playing.

The I-Jam portable MP3 music player will be available in July at major retailers and also online at www.ijamworld.com. Prices
for the various I-Jam models will range from $99.95 to $199.95. SanDisk, which sells SanDisk-branded products in more than
10,000 stores worldwide, sells MultiMediCards at retail in 4, 8, 16 and 30MB capacities with suggested retail prices of $40,
$50, $80 and $130 respectively.

I-Jam Multimedia Corporation, headquartered in Schaumberg, IL, was formed in 1999 to develop and market micro-sized,
