w, TXN and CDMA: thanks for your running commentary on this. Given Engibous' (sp?) decision three to four years ago to focus on DSPs, and TXN's legacy strong position in semiconductor design and manufacturing, your conclusions seem correct. Had TXN an entre into ASIC manuf' process, I wouldn't have sold it short on their prospects for success. It's a player.
Having said that, do you agree that, as TXN expands its product offerings and capabilities of DSPs, and expands functional platforms (as with the NOK announcement of new TXN features, which I think DaveMG posted here at the end of May), the more analog to digital and vv functions will be enabled; therefore, TXN's expertise should be seen as complementary to increased market penetration of CDMA, as it will allow more feature-rich hand-held appliances?
