Sosmartinov...no way could I take offense. I could take umbrage, I could take take Maalox, I could even take the Red Sox to win the American League east (at Very Good odds). I fully agree with you; comparing me to Erma is like comparing a boa-constrictor to a piecost. What's a piecost, you say? About 89 cents. Fact is, this market's getting me hoopy. Buy? Sell? Short? Nibble? Sit on the fence? Watch? Knock off early and go to the beach? I don't know what the hell to do. It's like a harness race where you find four or five horses all capable of winning...or a race where you can't find a single standout...like a "maiden" or a cheap trotting "claiming" race where the key characteristic of most of the horses is that they have an annoying tendency to "break" stride...and lose. When I was a handicapper I felt strongly that the best indication of a horse's "form" was his Last Race. Apply this to the market or to some of the stocks we like and this leads to a lotta indecision for me. I'm baffled, buffaloed and berry, berry befuddled. (Lee)
