Gord... You are flying in circles with only a left wing.... Socialist apologists have taken more freedoms from the native population than they have given. You whine about industrial progress, clearing land, etc., yet it is the manipulators of the social order that are inflicting their own brand of "Progress" on the Natives. I lived and worked in the Arctic for well over 20 years and I can name Northern communities where the do-gooding bastards have built multi story office buildings that are not needed or wanted. Do such developments restore their dignity?????? Do such modern buildings restore their way of life??? Do they bring them "back to the land"? A chief in a small community near to Yellowknife is a life long friend of mine and one day while my wife an I were visiting his family at their home he described the damage social workers and their ilk have done to his people. We brought them drugs, alcohol and councilors.....and tried to instill in them a belief that big government is the answer to all that ails. Here is the challenge!!!!!!!!!!! I will meet you in Yellowknife at a time of your convenience and will show you first hand what things are really like in the NWT.......One stipulation is all I demand... You, like myself, must pay the incurred expenses out of your own pocket. History has shown the the strength of left wing compassion is directly relevant to the source of the funding.
