RE: <You know I keep hearing everyone say when Intel transitions to .18 coppermine this and coppermine that. AMD can keep pace with Intel until at least the end of this year (their transition to .18). There have been confirmed verifiable 800Mhz K7's that have come off the lines already. In .25. Intel needs .18 just to keep it together. Regards, Steve>

By "confirmed verifiable 800Mhz K7's that have come off the lines already" do you mean that you have private access to this confirmation? I haven't seen anything made public that I would consider confirmed and verifiable.

But who knows? AMD will provide 500, 550, and 600 MHz parts at launch but what is the distribution between them? Are only a few meeting 600 or is AMD being very conservative and most parts will be 600 or better? How can anyone know unless they're receiving inside information (of which I don't have any)? (But maybe I'll try to get some.)
