"Go Back"?

Haven't heard of it... wonder if it works on
'user infections' as well.. for that matter, a DI image restore back to pre-infection status would seem to also be possible..no?

From my ISP on Viruses:

Good rules of thumb:

1- Assume that everybody knows less about protecting themselves than you
do.

2- ALWAYS USE AN UP-TO-DATE VIRUS SCANNING PACKAGE - If you have to open
attachments up this is the only way to protect yourself from disaster.

3- *NEVER* OPEN OR RUN FILE ATTACHMENTS THAT END IN .EXE OR .COM- Cute
little programs that you get from your friends have viruses.

4- Always tell your friends if you get a virus from them. They
oftentimes don't know until somebody tells them.

5- Be wary of Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Express. Although these are
extremely popular software packages there are vulnerabilities in them
that make for huge security problems. Eudora, PM Mail and other
messaging software are not directly integrated with your operating
system. As a result you are less likely to encounter problems with
attacks designed specifically for Microsoft products.
