Dennis, I bought AOL at $130 and then at $117. I honestly thought I was stealing it. I bought more Friday at $105. I am now getting that sick feeling of trying to catch a falling knife. It has happened to me a half dozen times before and I never learn to stop doing it.

If AOL hits $125 I am selling, if it hits $75 I am buying, whatever comes first. But I'm not buying ANYMORE until it does hit $75. If I do I want you to shoot me......okay?

Jim

Re: I think AOL has serious problems with its future. The Dell ISP deal is the first real crack. I think the fundmanentals may be changing, for the worse.

You can't have it both ways dennis, so which one is it.......AOL up or AOL down. Why is it that you state that you cannot short AOL now?

You are acting as if you still need to cover your shorted position.

Dennis, as I see it, AOL's problems are:

1) Overall market in a state of flux and moving down...inflation and interest rate concerns.

2) Item (1) affects large cap stocks, such as the internets. Profits being taken off the table.

3) Aol losing subscribers in Europe due to free access ISP's.

4) Aol has not clearly outlined its plans for the European market.

5) Lack of a clearly defined wide band strategy has many concerned. The Oregon court ruling wasn't much use to the stock...this is now very clear.

6) The internet "bubble" may have broken...affects Aol regardless of how well they may be doing.

7) Momentum players have left.

In summary, there's no support for the stock...thus, its on a downward trend.
