I am really sorry to hear that C. If you don't mind my asking what stocks did you buy to lose $80,000?

Back in 89 I was into buying $2 and $3 stocks. You know the routine, "if I buy 3,000 shares of XYZ for $2 and it goes up just $1 I will make a $3,000 profit". Of course the stock went down a $1 most of the time. I bought 2,000 shares of Bank of New England as the price went from $4 to 25 cents. I kept telling myself there is no way that a bank with $16 billion in assets could go belly up. Well it did.

After two years of kidding myself I finally decided to buy quality stocks. Once in awhile I slip up like I did with IFMX but overall I have stuck with my rule. AOL is very pricey but it is definitely a quality stock.
