Michelle,

Forgive me, but what are you talking about? Do you know what MSFT has been investing in lately? "Pie in the sky"???? "Lost focus due to the DOJ"????? No broadband vision??????

I don't think you thought that post out very well. Paul Allen is doing some very interesting stuff--I get the impression he's going to create a major financial portal w/ Go2Net and other acquisitons of late--but steamrolling MSFT???????

Best,

Jill

Depends on what you are looking at. MSFT unlike Paul Allen's Vulcan ventures is not primarily concerned with being a VC firm. By example, it would make no more sense to say that MSFT is steamrolling Vulcan when it comes to software. Vulcan's primary mission statement doesn't include becoming the worlds largest software company.

MSFT over the past 18 months has clearly demonstrated that it is ensuring there are channels available to use and receive MSFT content software or whatever. Be it through cable, wireless, telephone, sattelite or anyother modality; MSFT will be there.
