I cannot imagine any military maneuver that does not target or employ some species of varmint. So the very concept of asepsis in warfare is grimly amusing. "Surgical strikes" are organized by the doctors' union, lol

adding to my linguistic "irksome pet peeves" list:
"math" in place of "arithmetic", e.g., "Do the math: you can double your income in this new venture".
