I like "Computer Main Memory" because it inherently differentiates
"Flash Memory."


Oops, except Rambus is getting designed into things like Nintendo games also. Or, could be used as Video RAM, or in network hardware. Just use DRAM? Or, DRAM (Dynamic Random Access Memory)?

Rambus memory (RDRAM) is best considered as a newer faster substitute for the volatile DRAM memory in a computer.. Flash memory is best considered as a substitute for the more permanent memory in a hard drive. Flash is more compact, has no moving parts, and is suitable especially for mobile operations like digital cameras.
