<Rob Young - re: Do you still think it will tape by month end? And finally, when K7 hits .18 year-end, won't it be about 140 mm2?>

I heard that K7 at .18 is 105 mm2.

Robb - Re: "! And yet today the 313 mm2 21264
(.35 micron aka EV6 process 21264) can be found in < $7500
workstations. "

No kidding?

What are the speeds of the Alpha chips in these $7500 workstation?

700 MHZ?

600 MHz ?

500 MHz ?

466 MH ?

Re: "EV67 shows up in a few weeks (in ad supplement
today). It is a 210 mm2 part.. "

Great ! Maybe that will reduce the Compaq losses that are rumored to be forthcoming.

By the way - I hear Compaq is in a big hurry to switch to Copper Metallization for the Alpha - you wouldn't know why, would you?
