Taxman: DELL HAS BEEN SPEAKING.... You just provided an important quote from Kevin Rollins. I am reading from a 'Pain in the Assets' Webber Report (Dated June 10th) that details more of what DELL's Vice Chairman said last week. Check out some of the highlights: <<*Rollins delivered a bullish presentation at the PW Technology Conference, outlining DELL's strategy to sustain its high growth rate through an internet-and services-focused business model that spans multiple customer, product, and geographic segments. *Rollins highlighted DELL's plans to expand its core advantage over its indirect competition by moving from a "Physical" Direct model to an "Internet" Direct model. DELL is about 1/3 through this process, which involves leveraging Internet efficiencies through customer sales, supplier purchases, and internal business processes. DELL believes that these efficiency gains have the potential to double the advantage the company already realizes through the direct model. *Rollins believes that DELL can continue to grow at a multiple of the market, as it takes market share for "years to come." Supporting this statement is DELL's worldwide market share, which is still relatively low. Rollins mentioned that if DELL's international market share were to increase to meet the level of its US market share (8.6%), that this scenario would equate to an additional 50% in revenues. DELL's aggressive moves further into the enterprise segment, including enterprise storage, also expands DELL's growth outlets. Finally, the company also sees significant upside to attractive portions of the consumer market, where DELL holds only about 5% share worldwide. *On the consumer front, specifically, Rollins indicated that DELL would remain very aggressive. He hinted at a significant product expansion in the next couple of months in time for back-to-school purchases. This push will involve both lower price PCs (current lowest is $949) and significant new add-on offerings. *Rollins indicated that the pricing environment had become more rational recently, and he expects pricing to remain in this more normal state through the remainder of the year. *...DELL with its superior direct model is clearly the best positioned of the pure PC hardware vendors...>> ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hmmm....I think DELL may be much healthier than some investors realize. DELL continues to gain additional advantages from the Internet Direct Model and many new growth initiatives are coming online. Stay tuned. IMO, the next year could be VERY rewarding for DELL investors. Best Regards, Scott
