**************************OT*********************************** Cable & Wireless (CWZ:NYSE ADR), Telewest Communications (TWSTY:Nasdaq ADR), and NTL (NTLI:Nasdaq) are discussing a $48 billion merger, the Financial Mail on Sunday reported. Those three companies have also invited Deutsche Telekom (DT:NYSE ADR) and France Telecom (FTE:NYSE ADR) to consider joining, the newspaper said. They want Deutsche Telekom and France Telecom to inject about $8 billion into the project, the newspaper said.
